We are seeking an Assistant Estate Manager for our growing Consumer Insolvency team. Committed to helping all stakeholders through financial challenges, MNP Limited is one of the largest insolvency practices in Canada. For more than 50 years, our experienced team of Government-Licensed Insolvency Trustees and advisors have been working collaboratively with lenders and debtors at all levels to help protect their interests.

YOUR ROLE @ MNP

Performance Expectations

  • Responsible to provide administrative assistance including answering the phone, scheduling appointments and completing data entry on a daily basis
  • Provide support to the team members and excel at customer service related tasks
  • Assist in the administration of formal insolvency appointments including bankruptcies, proposals and receiverships
  • Follow-up with creditors regarding submitted paperwork or file particulars
  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents
  • Assist in e-filing relevant documents in a timely manner
  • Prepare schedules, reports and other documents
  • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
  • Promote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness
  • Attend internal MNP courses to further develop knowledge around performance improvement

Credentials

  • 2 years of post-secondary education
  • One (1) to two (2) years of relevant work experience, ideally in a professional services environment is an asset
  • Interest in learning about the BIA. Having working knowledge of the BIA would be an asset
  • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and ability to learn new technology
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong understanding of the importance of timeliness and responsiveness
  • Committed team player with comfortability working independently
  • Some travel may be required
