About the Melanoma Network of Canada
The Melanoma Network of Canada (MNC) provides outreach and outstanding support programs for melanoma patients and their families as well as leading the country in improving public awareness and prevention of the disease.
The network was founded in 2009 by Annette Cyr, a patient and three-time survivor of melanoma, in conjunction with support and assistance from Jo Anne Adams, a patient survivor, and Terra Deeth, caregiver to a husband with melanoma.
The MNC was founded to respond to the need for patients in Canada to have a nationally-based organization to coordinate educational and prevention efforts, provide a strong voice for advocacy, and assist in efforts to target funding for melanoma research.
