The People team is responsible for managing our talent pipeline and ensuring we have the right people in the right function, helping us drive results in our business. The People Function oversees all recruitment and selection as well as workforce planning, target setting, labour relations, employee relations, training & development and talent management. Our People Team are strategic partners to every aspect of our business from assembling power Sales teams to optimizing training hours in our breweries. Our People Team is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our functions and the 21st century employee.
YOUR PTP TRAINING JOURNEY
This is an intense three month program that begins at our beautiful Toronto National Office and St. Louis Campus. Here, you'll be introduced to the strategy that brews our powerful culture and keeps our teams engaged and at the top of their game. Because the People Team touches every aspect of our business, you'll get cross-functional exposure from the very beginning. After your early weeks, you'll own and deliver on an individual capstone project, known as your Yellow Belt, that can take place at any of our key offices and facilities throughout the province. At the end of this rotation, we'll come back together to show off your hard work to our senior leadership team. Our people are our greatest asset, so this department is at the heart of our business. After three months of training, you'll transition into your first role that will last approximately 12 months before your next rotation.
In your entry-level management role following the PTP program, you'll have the opportunity to have a direct impact on the business and influence key decisions—there's no hiding in the back of the room at Labatt. From entry level to zone president, everyone has a seat at the table and is expected to bring their best every day. Your training is just the foundation; and you'll begin making a difference in our organization from Day 1. Some examples of first roles for this program are: People Specialist at a brewery or at one of our company commercial locations. Your position at the conclusion of training can be located at any of our national offices and is determined by business need, skill set and personal preferences.

While a background in business, human resources, economics, or labour relations would certainly help, we're also open to philosophy, psychology, or even quantum mechanics majors to name a few! - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or Engineering preferred.
- Must be mobile within the Canada for placement in first role after training period may be located in any of our locations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership qualities and ability to lead by example.
- Assertiveness, pro-activeness, and the ability to think ahead.
- Ability to influence the decision making process by working with people at all levels of the company.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, project planning/management, and organization skills
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Office, etc.)
