*This position resides in Saint John or Florenceville, New Brunswick and is 8 (co-op) month work term commencing May 2018. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term.

system administrator is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of serverses The system administrator seeks to ensure that the uptimeperformanceresources, and security of the computers they manage meet the needs of the users

To meet these needs, a system administrator may acquire, install, or upgrade computer components and software; provide routine automation; maintain security policies; troubleshoot; offer technical support for projects. 

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Co-op or internship program enrollment is mandatory
  • Knowledge of Windows Server Operating System
  • Knowledge of UNIX Server Operating System
  • Knowledge of WMWare
  • Security policy administration
  • Incident and Change management process

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Knowledge of SAN storage
  • Knowledge of Network configuration
  • Backup and Restore knowledge
