*This position resides in Fredericton, NB and is a 4 or 8 (co-op) month work term commencing September 2019. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term.

The Cloud Solutions QA Developer will be an integral part of IBM's Security Intelligence QRadar software development team that is responsible for making QRadar available in different cloud marketplaces, including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc. The Cloud Solutions QA Developer will assist in testing the solutions in different cloud platforms. The candidate will work in an Agile team that follows scrum software development framework to develop and deliver the results. This work will have a direct impact on making QRadar available in different cloud platforms, as well as having an easier and simplified deployment and installation of QRadar to improve IBM Security's standing as the global leader in IT security products.

This role will involve working with technology that is covered by Export Regulations sanctions. If you are a Foreign National from any of the following US sanctioned countries (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria) on a work permit, you are not eligible for employment in this position.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise

  • Co-op or internship program enrollment is mandatory
  • Experience with Linux operating systems
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Shell/Bash scripting, Python, Perl, Java/Java script
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills
  • Attention to details and obsessive about quality
  • Ability to manage workload to meet specific deadlines

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise

  • Knowledge of the software development cycle
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes
  • Experience with automated testing and Selenium
  • Interest in the cloud platforms, virtualization
