*This position resides in Markham, Ontario and is a 4 and 8 (co-op) month work term commencing May 2019. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term.

The successful candidate will be part of a team of software developers responsible for all design and application development of new innovative tools and services for IBM Analytics organization. With direction from more senior team members, this person will be exposed to the design, implementation, integration, and unit test portions of enhancing existing and developing new application modules and automation routines. They'll be able to refine their skills and develop technical knowledge on the fly, in order to complete project requirements. They'll be expected to write and debug code, make technical decision, and contribute their technical expertise to the goals of their team.
This role will involve working with technology that is covered by Export Regulations sanctions. If you are a Foreign National from any of the following US sanctioned countries (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and Ukraine) on a work permit, you are not eligible for employment in this position.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Co-op or internship program enrollment is mandatory
- Full stack development experience
- Experience with one or more of the following programming languages Java, Node.js, Python
- Familiarity with REACT
- Experience with Linux OS
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
- Previous co-op or internship experience
