*This position resides in Ottawa, Ontario and is a 4 (co-op) month work term commencing September 2018. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term.

We are seeking an innovative student looking for a full semester of challenge in an exciting and high paced environment with the Planning Server Team (TM1 Server).
About Planning Server (TM1 Server) team: we are a global team and is responsible for the core engine that supports IBM Planning Analytics Applications. Our customers include from Fortune 500 company to small and medium enterprises, and many governmental and educational institutions.
Your role will be a combination of software testing and software development, including working with the latest testing and software development tools. As a Planning Server team member, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and test, deployment of new features, functions and integration points in Planning Analytics. Candidate should be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work under minimal guidance with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Your collaboration and communication skills will be fundamental to the overall team success of the projects you work on.
This role will involve working with technology that is covered by embargo Export Regulations. If you are a Foreign National from any of the following embargoed countries (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria) on a work permit, you are not eligible for employment in this position.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
- Demonstrates verbal and written communications skills
- Co-op or internship program enrollment is mandatory
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
- Knowledge of IBM products
- Knowledge of the software development cycle
- Understanding of software engineering
