Your Role and Responsibilities
Bilingual (En/Fr) Occupational Health Nurse Bromont
A successful candidate will be responsible to accomplish department objectives by:
Organizing, implementing, and monitoring interconnected projects, as well as participating in cross project activities.
-Provide clinical occupational health services at the IBM Bromont manufacturing facility, including administering first aid, location crisis management team participation and providing emergency response.
-Conduct occupational health medical surveillance assessments and examinations, including audiograms, vision screening, and emergency response exams.
-Demonstrate expertise in occupational health services, disability case management and confidentiality and privacy of personal health information.
-Provide advice and counsel to business unit leaders, HR partners, managers and employees on a variety of issues and questions related to occupational health, preventive health measures, disability management, workplace accommodations, public health, health and safety, and health benefits/promotion.
-Apply continuous process improvement methodology for assigned programs and Corporate Health & Safety processes, especially for medical services and disability case management in Quebec and Bromont.
-Interpret and implement global occupational health practices, country specific regulations, HR guidelines and policies that reference an employee's ability to either return to work or remain at work.
-Demonstrate knowledge of occupational health & safety regulations, AODA, CSST, CNESST Quebec and WCB/WSIB programs across Canada.
-Accountable for individual and team results. Work on special projects in support of Bromont, Canada and Corporate Health & Safety.
-Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending/complete professional development courses, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking best practices and/or membership in professional organizations.
-Analyze data to create accurate and timely reports.
-Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
Required Professional and Technical Expertise
-Bachelor's degree in nursing or related experience
-Minimum of 3 years' experience in first aid and/or emergency care
-Minimum of 2 years' experience in disability case management
-Minimum of 2 years' experience in occupational health
-Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
-Proficient in English and French
Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
-Certification in disability case management
-Experience in health and safety
