The role will entail Database Administration, Managing Database Enhancements, Database Second Level Support, Managing vendor relationship for change management orders, Provide guidance for assignment of orders, Create Monthly Metric Reports, Train new users on the tools supported by Order Management, Liaise with management, delivery project executives, project executives on process and ordering issues and Provide guidance and training to new team members Implement new procedures and policies.

This role is part of the Infrastructure Service Delivery Team within our GTS Organization. The tool that this person would be responsible for is critical to both the Account Teams, Procurement and Vendors as this is the only way Network Services are procured from our telco vendors. This tool is our auditable tracking system when any Network Spend with our Vendors. The person who would be primary on this is the focal to ensure both our interal teams and the vendors meet deadlines that impact our support to our customers. It can be fast paced but definitely a great opportunity to add value from start to finish.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Database Knowledge,
  • Techical skills in order to help if there are issues with the Database
  • Communication skills - Proven written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently
  • Self motivated
  • Professionalism in all interactions with colleagues
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to interact with vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Productivity tools (excel and word)

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

  • Network Services Skills - some understanding required
  • Ability to manage small projects to completion (2 yrs if possible)
