Your Role and Responsibilities

This position resides in Markham, Ontario and is a 16-month work term commencing May 2021. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term.

The developer will be part of Mainframe DevOps learning team and will have an opportunity to innovate and transform the digital learning experience, development and delivery.

The developer is an expert who would lead and develop learning projects and initiatives, be an innovator in learning delivery processes and tools focused on user experience. The scope of this education development will be on our leading-edge technology portfolio of products designed for cognitive business and optimized for cloud computing.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Co-op or internship program enrolment is mandatory
• Ability to quickly get up to speed on new learning platforms, tools, functionalities and services
• Skills to lead virtual sessions and meetings, working with remote global teams
• Good time management and analytics skills
• Ability to innovate and generate new ideas
• Passion towards teaching and developing course materials

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Knowledge in Agile is a benefit
• Knowledge in learning delivery processes and platform like Moodle and Coursera would be an advantage
• Basic skills on Mainframe would be great
