Your Role and Responsibilities

This position resides in London, ON and is a 4-month work term commencing January 2021. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term.

The IBM Cloud Delivery Services (CDS) team is seeking a student that is driven to succeed in a very fast paced technical and client focused environment. Your role will be to act a Client Coordinator (CC), working very closely with the CDS client technical delivery team to ensure timely responses to client problem tickets/cases. The student CC will be responsible for reviewing all incoming Service Requests and assigning them to technical individuals within the Cloud Delivery Services team. The student CC will also be responsible for creation and maintenance of documented support processes and procedures. Candidates need to be highly motivated, enthusiastic, team player, quick learners and able to work under minimal supervision. Candidates will need to demonstrate analytical problem-solving skills accompanied by strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. In addition, candidates must be able to collaborate and apply communication skills, enhancing the overall IBM client experience. Please note - the student CC may be requested to work on statutory holidays and/or a few hours after the normal business hours.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Co-op or internship program enrollment is mandatory
  • Ability to follow Standard Procedures
  • Demonstrated Communication skills (Verbal and written)
  • Previous Client/Customer experience
  • Email knowledge (preferably Lotus Notes)
  • Technical Skills – need to have a technical aptitude driven from their educational experiences or work-related experiences

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience with CRM software would be an asset
  • Python knowledge would be an asset
  • Learn and understand support structure to ensure timely resolution of customer issues
  • Able to work with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Some knowledge of databases, SQL, DB2
  • Windows, Linux knowledge, previous experience would be an asset
