Our Edmonton team is looking for candidates who have experience in banking, book-keeping, office administration, A/P, A/R, payroll, pensions and/or taxation. Proficiency with MS-Excel required. Canadian Payroll Certification is desirable as is experience with PeopleSoft Finance v9.0 and/or PeopleSoft HCM v9.0. Working knowledge of Pensions Benefits and Payroll an asset as well.

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, strong communication and interpersonal abilities with the ability to communicate effectively with IT and Business Processes staff, be detail- oriented and possess excellent time management skills. As well as being self-motivated and able to work fully independently, the ideal candidate is able to work as a member of a team, cooperating and collaborating with other team members to produce optimum results and has the ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic workplace.

In support of an external client account, your responsibilities may include: monthly reconciliation for a number of bank accounts, monthly account preparation and submission to the client, verification of General Ledger balances, ensuring that adequate funding is requested for the monthly funding for Payroll, Payroll direct deposits, Payroll reversals, 3rd party remittances, processing of Stops, Voids and Returns, daily analysis and reconciliation of Pension Plans and pension transactions, analysis between payroll and pensions records, Year End processing, and responding to client inquires as the first point of contact in resolving client issues while adhering to the clientâ??s service level requirements. Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • At least 2 years of business-related experience
  • Fluency in English
  • Must reside in Edmonton or be willing to relocate to Edmonton.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

  • At least 3 years of business-related experience
