Communications Coordinator

This position will assist the Communications Specialist in planning and executing internal and external communication strategies for the Call Centre within HSBC InvestDirect.

Impact on the Business

  • Draft correspondence to client emails, adhering to the high standard for HSBC Invest Direct Centre (HIDC)as well as meeting all compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Serves as a backup for co-ordinating, composing and broadcasting key messages from an approved inventory onto HIDC website.
  • Assists in developing communication pieces to ensure new products and services are communicated throughout HSBC Invest Direct Centre (HIDC).

Customers / Stakeholders

  • Assists in maintaining the client feedback log, client complaint log and email tracking log, also may help preparing periodic summary for senior management review.
  • Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.

  • Ensure that all employees are aware of and effectively identify and manage applicable money laundering (ML), terrorist financing (TF), sanctions and reputational risks.
  • Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.

Management of Risk

  • Ensure compliance of both general and anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing (AML/ATF) compliance controls as well as operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues.

Observation of Internal Controls

  • Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators


Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

  • 1 year communications experience in a corporate environment or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, marketing or equivalent experience.
  • Good research, organization, analytical, verbal and written communications skills.
  • Completion of CSC and in process of CPH.
  • Proficiency in Chinese writing is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
