(N2) Nitrogen Pump Operator

Early Career


The Nitrogen Pump Operator is responsible to ensure that systems and procedures are followed as required to coordinate the necessary personnel and equipment to meet or exceed the customer's needs.


  • Operate all equipment on site
  • Conduct and engage in safety meetings
  • Ensure understanding of Government and Company regulations
  • Perform inventory audits
  • Coordinate with the Dispatcher on duty to ensure that the proper equipment gets to location
  • Coordinate with the customer on site
  • Inspect tools and equipment prior to each use
  • Actively participates in safety related meetings including: daily tail gates, last minute risk assessments
  • Identify safety issues and problems and takes corrective action and follow through (i.e. any Hazard ID’s on location or equipment must be addressed with manager)

Work Environment / Physical Demands

  • Fit-for-Work each day
  • 15 days on/6 days off rotation schedule


  • Valid and current Class 1Q Driver’s License is mandatory, combined with 2+ years of direct Nitrogen operating experience
  • 3+ years of direct off-road experience, operating Class 1 vehicles within the Oil and Gas industry
  • Low rate Nitrogen experience would be considered a significant asset
  • Preference given to candidates with downhole experience such as Coiled Tubing, Wireline or Cementing etc.
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision, and can work self-directed
  • Mechanical aptitude and problems solving skills with the ability to perform basic mechanical maintenance
  • Communicate effectively with the safety department and remain fully compliant with all industry/ministry rules and regulations
  • The successful hire will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, representing the company with professionalism at all times; prior experience working directly with customers and consultants is an asset
