Community Initiatives Coordinator

(Full Time)

 

Reporting to the Manager of Events, the Community Initiatives Coordinator is responsible for attending community initiatives and to be present to accept donations on behalf of Good Shepherd. The successful candidate will arrange for pickup of donations and to ensure all donations are documented in a timely manner. The Coordinator will be responsible to coordinate with the Donor Relations and Engagement Specialist to invite and manage individual donors and groups who are interested in tours of the Good Shepherd programs to ensure all donors to see the direct impact of their donations. It will be the primary responsibility of the Community Initiatives Coordinator to maintain good relationships with all donors and regularly update them on the services of Good Shepherd and thanking them for their continued support. In addition, the role will provide administrative support to the volunteer department as required.

Requirements include a Community College Diploma in a related field and 3- 5 years experience in a similar capacity.  A demonstrated commitment to the values rooted through Hospitality of availability, responsibility, adaptability, quality and dignity.  Excellent communication and organizational skills.  Excellent computer skills including experience with Raiser’s Edge is considered an asset.  A motivated individual and team player.  Fluency in a 2nd language is an asset.
