Background

French for the Future is a not-for-profit organization that supports and motivates high school students on their path towards bilingualism. French for the Future promotes Canada’s official bilingualism and the immediate and lifelong benefits of learning and communicating in French to students from grades 7 to 12 across Canada. French for the Future is seeking an experienced event planner who can manage the successful execution of an extraordinary series of events. The Event Planner will take a lead role in planning and delivering community events across the country, working closely with our local committees and partners. Local Forums are events that gather French Second Language and French First Language students from Grade 9 to 12 for a full day of activities in French. Thanks to the presence of stakeholders and artists from the Francophone community, we give students the opportunity to learn more about the cultural and professional value of being bilingual. It’s also the occasion to facilitate dialogue between French as a Second Language (FSL) and French as a First Language (FFL) students, while celebrating Francophone cultures.
