The Risk Assessment & Portfolio Management (RAPM) team monitors the Insurance portfolio, performing independent credit risk assessment and portfolio management and ensuring that appropriate action is taken when the credit risk of a company is no longer considered acceptable. RAPM participates in the ongoing review of the Insurance group's credit granting and credit surveillance standards and its policies and procedures for risk acceptance.
This opportunity is an 8-month, full-time contract opportunity and the successful candidate will be eligible for EDC contract benefits.
Responsibilities may include:
Assisting Risk Analysts by performing credit and financial analysis of companies to assess their creditworthiness
Assisting the team with various data integrity projects, corporate & industry research, and data collection
Provide support for Continuous Improvement initiatives
Our Ideal Candidate
Student enrolled or recently graduated from a Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration or Economics
Completed at least one work term in their field of study
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Motivated self-starter, good organizational and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Enthusiasm to tackle any task, whether menial or complex
Ability to communicate in both official languages
