In the position of a Project Accountant, we would ask you to do the following:

  • Assure timely and accurate completion of monthly billings, receivables, subcontractor payments and processing of trade payables; and assist internal costing department with coding invoices and expense reports
  • Successfully manage all daily accounting duties including expenses, contracts, invoices, statutory declarations and WCB clearance certificates, as well as all project accounting databases to ensure security, control and accuracy
  • Support the site team in all administrative functions inclusive of, hourly employee time cards, coordinating incoming and outgoing mail, answer and direct incoming calls, and manage office supply inventory

  • You have two years of construction accounting experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
  • You have a working knowledge of accounting databases and the ability to identify problems and assist in producing logical solutions to help co-workers solve issues
  • You are a self-driven individual with the ability to work in an autonomous work environment
