Job Description

We are currently looking to fill 1 part time General Help Positions in  Sanitation Department. Candidates would be required to work Weekends from 10:00am to 6:00pm and some Weekdays 4 hours shift 2:30pm-6:30pm.  The unit is located inside the Maplehurst Correctional Facility in Milton ON. Candidates will know and use all personal protective equipment (steel toed/slip resistant shoes,gloves, googles, safty glasses, Compass issued uniform).Follow GMP. Responsible for strict enforcement of the Compass H&S Program  This is a unionized position. Starting rate of pay is $15.19/hr, with a $0.50 increase after 90 working days.

Qualifications

1. Be physically able to perform duties assigned as per position description(5 different areas-training provided)

2. Able to lift a minimum of 25lb

3. Proven ability to work independently and take initiative

4. Thorough working knowledge of standards and procedures

5. Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing work routines or priorities.

6. Must possess excellent organizational skills

7. Good English written and verbal communication skills.

8. Positive attitude and a genuine desire to serve customers.

9. Ability to work as a member of a team.

10. Must obtain Advanced Food Safty Training certification within 90 days of employment. Training to be provided by the Company.

11. Solid knowledge of HACCP procedures

12. Must wear appropriate and job specific PPE

13. Must be able to work within close proximity to inmates, both male and female.

14. Must be available to work weekends.

15. Cleaning experience is an asset however not required for employment.
