About the role We're constantly evolving to build an inclusive housing system through research, design, innovation and partnerships. This position is an exceptional opportunity  to become a member of the Client Solutions, Risk Management, Strategy and Products - Analytics team, you will be responsible to provide a broad range of research and analytical services that support the entire sector in the effective and efficient use of resources and in identifying risk, improvement and business opportunities with an aim to resolve problems. This will help us make housing affordable for everyone in Canada.

What you need • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or Finance or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience • Demonstrated experience working on complex quantitative analytic projects to support product, operations and business reviews and decision making; • Demonstrated experience in the use of project management methods and tools to plan, manage and implement several projects simultaneously including projects of long duration and those involving multi-disciplinary teams; • Demonstrated experience in the use of computer based tools including SAS EG, Microsoft Office suite, R Studio, Python, Collibra, PowerBI • Demonstrated experience in the finance or insurance industry. • Excellent knowledge of statistical trend analysis technology; • Excellent data analysis and data manipulation skills, with strong knowledge of CMHC technologies and systems involving database structures and data management; • Familiarity with presentation software and comfortable with public speaking to small groups; • Strong ability to communicate in written reports a range of analytical material, recommendations and findings; • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

What you will be doing • Examining CMHC processes and scans external client markets to determine and exploit opportunities for product improvements or risk mitigation; • Play a key role in the data management / data governance, and champion setting up data quality rules and validation. Working with key stakeholders and data owners to implement data governance processes. • Work closely with the analytical team and provide sound analytical insight into statistical models and their suitability to address different business problem. • Build rules and strategy into the DRE and contribute to model deployment activities and testing strategy and execution • Assessing and interpreting data generated from CMHC's standard computer reports to determine risk concentration, and other indicators of performance and risk; • Effectively communicating results of analysis to managers and staff in order to obtain buy-in for resulting decisions. • Assisting individuals or teams in developing improvement initiatives by observing and interpreting trends and effectively communicating the details. • Provide data interpretation including relationships and trends analysis. • Develop indicators, scorecards and dashboards from environmental scanning, research and benchmarking exercises. • Create opportunities to improve report delivery including automation and self-service approaches. • Lead the preparation of briefs, reports, business cases and/or presentations based on research topics and analyses; present to senior level stakeholders, both internally and externally, as required. • Manipulate and analyze large datasets while ensuring data integrity and accuracy. • Employ qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques, including scenario-building, modeling of alternatives, etc., to provide assessments of policy options and expected outcomes. • Develop predictive models and analyze program, product and/or service performance with a variety of analytical tools.
