What you need âÂ€¢ Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or Finance or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience âÂ€¢ Demonstrated experience working on complex quantitative analytic projects to support product, operations and business reviews and decision making; âÂ€¢ Demonstrated experience in the use of project management methods and tools to plan, manage and implement several projects simultaneously including projects of long duration and those involving multi-disciplinary teams; âÂ€¢ Demonstrated experience in the use of computer based tools including SAS EG, Microsoft Office suite, R Studio, Python, Collibra, PowerBI âÂ€¢ Demonstrated experience in the finance or insurance industry. âÂ€¢ Excellent knowledge of statistical trend analysis technology; âÂ€¢ Excellent data analysis and data manipulation skills, with strong knowledge of CMHC technologies and systems involving database structures and data management; âÂ€¢ Familiarity with presentation software and comfortable with public speaking to small groups; âÂ€¢ Strong ability to communicate in written reports a range of analytical material, recommendations and findings; âÂ€¢ Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
What you will be doing âÂ€¢ Examining CMHC processes and scans external client markets to determine and exploit opportunities for product improvements or risk mitigation; âÂ€¢ Play a key role in the data management / data governance, and champion setting up data quality rules and validation. Working with key stakeholders and data owners to implement data governance processes. âÂ€¢ Work closely with the analytical team and provide sound analytical insight into statistical models and their suitability to address different business problem. âÂ€¢ Build rules and strategy into the DRE and contribute to model deployment activities and testing strategy and execution âÂ€¢ Assessing and interpreting data generated from CMHC's standard computer reports to determine risk concentration, and other indicators of performance and risk; âÂ€¢ Effectively communicating results of analysis to managers and staff in order to obtain buy-in for resulting decisions. âÂ€¢ Assisting individuals or teams in developing improvement initiatives by observing and interpreting trends and effectively communicating the details. âÂ€¢ Provide data interpretation including relationships and trends analysis. âÂ€¢ Develop indicators, scorecards and dashboards from environmental scanning, research and benchmarking exercises. âÂ€¢ Create opportunities to improve report delivery including automation and self-service approaches. âÂ€¢ Lead the preparation of briefs, reports, business cases and/or presentations based on research topics and analyses; present to senior level stakeholders, both internally and externally, as required. âÂ€¢ Manipulate and analyze large datasets while ensuring data integrity and accuracy. âÂ€¢ Employ qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques, including scenario-building, modeling of alternatives, etc., to provide assessments of policy options and expected outcomes. âÂ€¢ Develop predictive models and analyze program, product and/or service performance with a variety of analytical tools.
