What You’ll Be Doing

Join our Enterprise Digital team as a Co-op and have a real impact in making our clients’ ambitions a reality! At Enterprise Digital, we’re building the bank of the future. As a UX Researcher with Enterprise Digital, you will join CIBC’s Experience Design (XD) team supporting projects for CIBC’s customer-facing public properties such as CIBC.com, Simplii Financial and CIBC US Bank.

You will bring research experience, a solid knowledge of inferential statistics (R Studio preferred), and knowledge of user research and testing techniques to help uncover insights around our business and user goals, validate design decisions, and measure success. You will align that success against our holistic strategy, working to continually ensure CIBC’s digital enterprise client experiences meet our clients’ needs.

You will be expected to participate in UX research efforts for the team, with strong collaboration, communication, time-management and organization skills — able to work closely with your teams on multiple initiatives and apply prioritization accordingly.

You will leverage a range of research tools, such as UserTesting, Feedback Loop and Optimal Workshop along with resources such as Adobe Analytics, Forrester’s and collected market research and content to conduct your work and, as a result, impact our roadmap and strategy.

You’ll work closely with, and take direction from our Sr. UX Researcher. You’ll share your passion for research in design across several cross-functional internal teams of Product Design Leads, Visual Designers, UX Designers, Content Strategists and writers who’ll share your vision. Together, you’ll work with an extended team including a project manager/product owner, stakeholders/business owners, SEO, testing, accessibility, analytics, developers, digital strategy, marketing and more. As a team, you’ll drive a client-focused digital transformation to simplify how our clients navigate our pages.

How You’ll Succeed

  • User Research and Testing –You will plan and conduct UX Research for key Enterprise Digital initiatives using a variety of methods (e.g., one-on-one interviews, surveys, usability testing, card sorting, etc.).
  • Analysis and Interpretation – You’ll will review and analyze UX Research results from studies, surveys, and perform secondary research to provide the teams with insights and recommendations.
  • Empathy Building – You’ll interpret research findings, present and explain them in a way that’s easy to understand and help build empathy.
  • UX Research Democratization – You will help democratize UX Research, and empower our partners to take the full benefit of the research work, methodology and tools.
  • Administration and Team work – You’ll help maintain project objectives and maintain a repository of research to help build a body of knowledge that contributes to a user-centered design process.
