Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

Skip Trace Agents are accountable for gathering information from a variety of internet sites and bank systems in an attempt to locate clients for whom no valid contact information is known. Skip Trace Agents receive referrals through an automated dialer system, and use spreadsheets to schedule follow-up calls when they believe that a client may be found at a later time or date. Once clients are located, Skip Trace Agents record the valid contact information in CIBC systems so that Credit Counsellors can work to resolve account delinquency.

How You’ll Succeed

Analytical thinking – locate clients by using in-depth knowledge of CIBC computer systems to leverage outdated client information, searching new client demographic information on online phone directories, credit bureau reports and social networking sites, etc.

Time Management -  Prioritize workload and leverage time-management skills to place calls to clients at times that will most likely result in contact

Strong decision-making skills - Make decisions whether to retain accounts for further skip tracing efforts or assign them to third party collection business partners
