What you’ll be doing
At Simplii Financial, we provide personalized, simple, yet flexible digital experiences for our clients, and accelerate revenue growth for our bank. Our client-centered approach builds relationships and improves sales and service through our digital and contact centre channels. As a Junior Product Owner on the Simplii Financial Digital Strategy team, you will be helping develop strategies and implement services that drive sales and improve client experience. You will be responsible to perform competitive analysis to ensure we remain innovative and competitive in the market.

Important information

You are enrolled in a degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or a related field at the time of the work term. You do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program to be considered for this role.

Location: Toronto. Please note all employees must work within their current jurisdiction and must reside within Canada. All CIBC Co-op positions require you to be based in Canada for the duration of the term.

How you’ll succeed

Strategic thinking and delivery:

You produce strategy documents and presentations for consultation and review with partners and stakeholders across the Simplii team.

You determine the client impact and benefits associated with a new or updated product, and articulate these benefits to secure funding and get buy-in for the project.

You create requirements for the Software Development teams.

You validate and iterate on existing concepts to ensure we’re providing the best experience for our clients.

Communicates, informs, and influences – You facilitate conversations with various stakeholders (external) and working team (internal) to define and/or communicate the product vision, desired benefits, tactical steps, blockers, and success stories.

Brings curiosity and new ideas – You challenge the status quo and provides feedback and ideas to help us improve the way we work. Seeks out best practices, assess global news, trends, competitor and consumer user trends, and educate key stakeholders on the threats and opportunities.
