Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

The Analyst will be part of the Wealth Management team, and the point of contact for trading systems in regards to questions or issues from Traders, Portfolio Managers, and operational groups.  He will help support the Trading teams (Equities, FX, Derivatives) in their processes regarding PMs, Brokers, Operations groups, projects. He will maintain and develop processes that form part of CAM’s best execution framework.

Building Tools: understand the needs, define the appropriate parameters and build (program) some quantitative tools.

Analytical Skills - possess strong analytical skills, the ability to analyze large sets of data, identify issues or abnormalities that require further analysis/investigation to ensure accuracy and add value to the team’s objectives.

Autonomy - possess a high level of attention to detail, accuracy and consistency and have the ability to work autonomously. You are highly organized and enjoy working in a face paced environment.

Communication – utilize strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to clearly articulate requests and facts when interacting internally and externally.

Who You Are

You have a degree/diploma. You have an undergraduate degree in Finance/Commerce. You have knowledge of VBA, Matlab and/or Python. You possess excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel) to drive automation of processes using excel spreadsheets, formulas, macros, etc. You have experience working in cross—functional teams; Knowledge of internal CIBC Asset Management processes is an asset. Experience in trading systems and similar programs is an asset (Bloomberg AIM, Bloomberg PORT, Thinkfolio, SS&C, DTCC OMGEO, etc.)
