As an International Intern at Chick-fil-A, you will contribute to our growth through challenging and meaningful work. You will build cross-cultural competency as you work on impactful projects, immerse yourself in our unique culture, and experience the city of Atlanta.
This is an 11-week position at Chick-fil-A’s Support Center in Atlanta, with an anticipated start date in May 2024.
Our Flexible Future model offers a healthy mix of working in person and virtually, strengthening key elements of the Chick-fil-A culture by fostering collaboration and community.
Responsibilities
The Chick-fil-A Backstage Tour is a 60-to-120-minute journey that will lead you into the heart of Chick-fil-A and offers a fun filled and enlightened storytelling experience inspired by the fascinating history, culture, and values of the company. From the hospitable people to delicious food, and those infectious “Eat Mor Chikin” Cows, you’ll explore the unique Chick-fil-A story with our guided walking tour.
The tour host is also responsible for managing, executing, and creating an inviting, engaging, fun and REMARKable guest experience that highlights Chick-fil-A’s culture, people, and business to create emotional connections that endear customers to the brand. The Tour Guide Summer Intern will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about Chick-fil-A history to lead Operators, Team Members, Staff, and external visitors on in-person and virtual tours of the Chick-fil-A Support Center (corporate headquarters)
- Be a responsible, driven, team player, who loves interacting with people from around the globe
- Communicate effectively in a wide range of contexts
- Provide tours in an engaging, fun and meaningful way that tells the Chick-fil-A Story
- Attend meetings, brainstorming sessions, and other tasks to prepare for tour guests and shape future tour experiences
- Review tour content for cultural relevancy
- Analyze post-tour survey results to identify common threads and improvement areas
Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate junior or senior returning to school Fall 2024 majoring in Communications, History, Hospitality, Liberal Arts, Marketing, or any related field
- Strong public speaking and people skills, including the ability to walk long distances, stand, and climb stairs while presenting and ensuring your group’s safe travel
- Professionalism to interact daily with Operators, Team Members, all levels of staff and external visitors
- Ability to work and multi-task in a high traffic, faced pace environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, putting guests first with a smile
- Self-starter with strong follow through and organizational skills
- Able to work well independently and in a team environment
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing environments
- High level of initiative and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications and an aptitude to learn new software
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Chick-fil-A Restaurant Team Member
- Interest in Hospitality or Retail
- Proficiency in multiple languages
