As an International Intern at Chick-fil-A, you will contribute to our growth through challenging and meaningful work. You will build cross-cultural competency as you work on impactful projects, immerse yourself in our unique culture, and experience the city of Atlanta.

This is an 11 week position at Chick-fil-A’s Support Center in Atlanta, with an anticipated start date in May 2024.

Responsibilities

The Data Engineer Summer Intern will have the opportunity to:

  • Exhibit wide latitude in aligning business stakeholders and IT to translate business logic into scalable data and analytic solutions on complex projects
  • Develop ETL pipelines for general business consumption, establishing patterns for repeatable, scalable ETL work that others can leverage in their work
  • Develop tools, data, and analytics advising on their integration into operational best practices
  • Design specific implementations, understanding Databricks performance and cloud compute performance requirements and expectations
  • Own data model and code quality and any relevant documentation
  • Work closely with Data Governance Lead to enable others to own the impact
  • Design patterns for efficient use of cloud compute resources
Minimum Qualifications
  • Undergraduate junior or senior returning to school Fall 2024 majoring in Computer Science, MIS, Industrial Engineering, or other related major
  • Fast learner and problem solver
  • Analytical and data modeling skills
  • System thinking and process design mindset, with respect to scalability and automation
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with Python
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Data Bricks, Data Analysis, AWS Redshift, AWS S3, SQL, Python, Alteryx, Tableau
  • Demonstrated creative problem solving, leadership, and strong communication skills through class projects, jobs, clubs, and/or internships
  • Developing and implementing data models for analytic use
  • Experience with cloud based architecture
