SVNH Community Board Director - South Vancouver Neighbourhood House
South Vancouver Neighbourhood House (SVNH) is currently seeking new members to join our Community Board. The Community Board provides local leadership and ensures that the SVNH & ANHBC mission is intrinsic to the delivery of programs and community activities. The Board establishes strategic goals and policies that are consistent with SVNH’s mission and purpose statements.
We are especially looking for individuals with experience in one of the following areas: Fund Development, Social Media / Marketing, Finance, Social Enterprise, and Human Resources. In addition, we are looking for youth representatives from 19-30 years old.
Each Board term of office is for two years. Board members are expected to join one Board sub-committee, with meeting ranging from monthly to quarterly. Board meetings are held at South Vancouver Neighbourhood House on the third Tuesday of each month (currently using Microsoft Teams). There is generally no meeting in December, July or August. A monthly meeting may be cancelled due to insufficient business.
