Social Impact Measurement Partner - Green Shield Canada

  • Establish the process for measuring impact for all GSC initiatives changing health outcomes
  • Confirm a process for measuring number of lives impacted resulting from systems-level change initiatives
  • Lead the evolution of granting criteria for partnership programs
  • Support the establishment of academic partnerships to support evaluation and impact measurement of health outcomes related to mental health funding
  • Collaborate with internal data experts on data collection and analysis
  • Foster relationships across the organization to support various initiatives and programs
  • Working with the GSC Oral Health Team, liaise with partners on oral health evaluation and impact measurement for funded oral health programs
  • Evolve our impact measurement framework to include measuring the impact that new business initiatives have on our clients as part of our creating shared value approach
  • Liaise with Lines of Business to understand the health outcomes they are measuring and also support enhanced measurement
  • Connect with other companies, organizations and individuals in the discipline to learn about approaches in the health sector and other sectors, identify best practices, and continue to evolve the GSC practice to be best in class
  • Share and promote GSC’s approach to impact measurement and improving health and well-being
  • Embrace and live our purpose, by pushing yourself and others to identify solutions to challenges that are most important for our clients, people, and society.


  • Post-secondary degree in health policy, health evaluation/measurement, public health, health economics, or health informatics
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a role relevant to health program evaluation and outcome/impact measurement
  • Ability to draw overarching observations from a diverse set of programming and data
  • Familiar with the delivery of health care services in community settings including smaller non-profit and charity providers
  • Relationship builder, with the natural ability to bring people together in service of the greater good
  • Detail oriented with excellent project management skills
  • Ability to tell a compelling story with data
  • Comfortable with combining both qualitative and quantitative analysis to solve business problems.
  • Take a big picture approach when imagining how we can do things bigger, better and more impactful
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with data mining and manipulation tools such as SQL, VBA, R or Python is preferred
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Able to travel within Canada, as required


  • Bilingualism (English & French)
  • Masters degree in health policy, health evaluation/measurement, public health, health economics, or health informatics
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau / Power BI would be considered an asset
  • Experience in an academic, hospital or other health care service provider setting is an asset
