SEAT is a great opportunity for youth to explore their ideas and become innovative! Great mentorship and coaching, industry tours and opportunities to connect with female leaders in the various STEAM sectors.

General info about the SEAT Program: This program seeks to empower young women to think of careers in STEM/STEAM and gives young women with interests in Science, Engineering, Artistry and Technology the opportunity to work together on a community-based project that will focus on creating positive change for our community.

Program Eligibility:

-15 to 30 years old

-Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Refugee Status

-Demonstrate necessary skill, aptitudes and commitment to succeed in the program


Additional Supports Include (As Needed):

-Transportation Supports/Bus Tickets

-Food on-site during the training

-Materials for projects will be supplied.


Within the SEAT Program participants will work in groups to identify a problem in our community and seek ways to solve this problem through one of the categories of Science, Engineering, Artistry and Technology. Students will also gain mentorship/coaching with our community partners where they can further develop their skills and talents and earn community service hours (up to 120hrs). At the end of the program, students will graduate with a certificate, and also get the opportunity to showcase their work to the general public at the Social Impact Exhibit. Students will also benefit by attending a two day leadership training which is sponsored by the SEAT Program.
