About the CAMRT

The CAMRT is the national professional association of Canadian medical radiation technologists, representing technologists in Canada across four disciplines: radiological technology, radiation therapy, nuclear medicine and magnetic resonance. As the sole provider of the entry to practice certification process in Canada, our purpose is to foster excellence in patient care by providing medical radiation technologists with standards of practice and opportunities for continuing professional development, as well as by advancing the profession and establishing effective partnerships with related health professionals.

The Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) seeks a qualified firm to respond to this Request for Proposal (RFP) for the development of a strategy, and its component parts, to set up and manage an online swag store for use of CAMRT employees and it’s members with varying degrees of access and a large library of branded swag. CAMRT uses branded swag at our in-person events, for MRT week, and to bring to conferences and events throughout the year. The average annual spend by the association is approximately $60,000. The membership market is unknown at this time, however, with over 11,000 members across the country and a documented desire for this type of service, we expect interest to be high.

  • Lanyards
  • ID badges
  • Scrubs
  • Cloth caps
  • Cups and mugs
  • Pop sockets
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Socks
  • Clothing
  • Specialty items for recognition (only available to order by CAMRT staff)


The successful firm will

  • Set up the online store
  • Supply and store the various forms of swag
  • Manage and ship online orders

Proposal Requirements

All proposals in response to this RFP must be submitted no later than 5pm (EST) on Tuesday, August 4th, 2020. Please provide the following:

  • Name, address, phone number and email address + Full name and title of the individual to serve as the main contact for the firm submitting the proposal
  • Company profile
  • Biographical sketches of the principle(s) and staff who would be assigned to this contract
  • Executive summary containing a brief description of your approach to the project
  • A list of client references and testimonials (minimum of 2, please no more than 5)
  • Examples of similar online stores
  • Anticipated timeline for the completion of key deliverables
  • Anticipated costing for the completion of key deliverables. Please ensure that additional work is quoted separately and indicated clearly as being additional work or outside of the scope of this RFP. Additional value-added elements will be considered provided their value for money is clearly visible
  • Any relevant terms and conditions

Selection process

Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of:

  • Clear and demonstrable understanding of the overall objectives of the project
  • Successful management of similar projects
  • Qualifications of the staff selected to work on this project
  • Reference checks and samples
  • Value-added aspects of the proposal

The association reserves the right to negotiate with more than one firm or individual at the same time or to enter into exclusive negotiation. The association reserves the right to request clarification of information submitted and to request further information. Please be advised that bidders for this assignment shall bear all costs incurred in responding to this RFP. The rejection of any or all offers shall not render the CAMRT liable for any costs or damages.
