Know our team

Nutrition International’s Program Operations Unit is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of Nutrition International’s core program interventions including program development, design, planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting, and grant management, including setting annual operational planning, budgeting and review processes. The unit comprises a global team of professionals located in our 10 core countries across Asia, Africa and our headquarters in Ottawa, Canada.

About you

You are passionate about your work and driven to build a better world in which all people are able to reach their full potential. You have 10 plus years’ of progressively more senior experience in leadership roles in an international NGO or public sector agency, preferably working in public health, food security, nutrition, or market system development or 10 years of management experience in a related field in the private sector (milling, food systems, nutrient production). You have demonstrated the ability to lead complex programs in multiple countries, especially in Asia. You are a skilled communicator and leader and are able to collaborate across units and geographies to achieve excellent results. You hold a master’s degree in public health, international development, public policy, business administration or a similar field.

About the role

The Program Director will be responsible for the overall leadership of the existing Nutrition International’s large scale food fortification (LSFF) program and for the implementation of Nutrition International’s corporate strategy on LSFF, which encompasses scale programming, research and development, and global ecosystem strengthening. This will include liaising across the organization and acting as a central hub with other units to pursue new food fortification opportunities and to coordinate the organization’s efforts in this area. The Program Director will represent Nutrition International in public forums and will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure food fortification efforts globally contribute to improvements in public health.
