Canadian Center for Women’s Empowerment (CCFWE) is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to empowering domestic violence survivors through advocacy and mentorship. 

We believe that volunteers are a fundamental part of the services offered to domestic violence survivors. Volunteers complement the existing services and enable the program to provide intensive support to women.

Job Summary

The Partnership and  Resource Mobilization Advisor works collaboratively within CCFWE responsible for developing and maintaining relations with key partners under the direction of the Executive Director. This position is also responsible for supporting organizational and, where appropriate, partner development opportunities, including the design and implementation of comprehensive plans for developing internal and external alliances and the ongoing management of these relationships.

The  Partnership and  Resource Mobilization Advisor, is a primary advisor to the Executive Director and assists in building and supporting strong working relationships with partners, Community Based Organizations, and other appropriate entities, in support of capacity development within  CCFWE. This role, alongside the senior management team, is also relied upon to support the continued development of CCFWE operations, organizational development strategies, and resource mobilization.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct proactive, cold outreach to identify and new partnerships.

  • Cultivate and steward existing partnerships, identifying new areas of alignment to pursue and grow.

  • Collaborate across all program teams and leadership as necessary.

  • Liaise with grant-making organizations and other stakeholders.

  • Ability to incorporate accurate and pertinent information from a variety of sources into the proposal or application.

  • Identify, cultivate and develop innovative partnership opportunities according to CCFWE strategic initiatives mandate and mission;

  • Foster strategic discussions at the national level in meeting the objectives of partnership agreements

  • Manage and maintain ongoing communication with team members and partners  to provide oversight of status and strategy development progress.

  • Partner with organization`s leadership team to ensure alignment within the Centre and maintain a consistent strategic implementation process;

  •  Support and advise the Executive Director;

 

Job Requirements

 A bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field and at least ten (5) years of experience in a leadership role, preferably within a not-for-profit organization OR completion of a master’s degree in a related field, plus at least five (5) years of progressively more responsible experience in the public and / or private sector involving program planning and reporting, issues management and fundraising three years of which shall have been at a managerial level

A demonstrated commitment to collaboration.

  • Previous management experience preferred on Gender Equality, Social Justice and Inclusion. 

  • Knowledge of community resources 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken.

  • Superior tact and diplomacy and a high level of integrity while handling confidential 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively handle issues simultaneously and meet scheduled timelines.

  • Ability to mentor team members, set project standards, and monitor progress.

  • Ability to take initiative, be self-motivated, and use independent judgment to respond appropriately to requests for information.

  • Strong planning and project management skills.

  • Strong leadership and influencing skills.

  • Ability to negotiate and collaborate in order to reach compromises or gain support.

  • Exceptional knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and research engines and tools.

 

Level of Commitment - Very flexible we will work with your schedule. Work online, home-based 4-5  hours / week
