We are looking for a compassionate detailed individual to volunteer as an Administrative Assistant at Whytecliff Agile Learning Centre on Friday’s throughout the Fall school year 830am-230pm. Whytecliff is a dually-accredited independent high school and a positive youth development centre. This unique opportunity will allow you to use your office skills, while also having a meaningful impact on the youth’s lives in a fun, dynamic, and innovative community!

A little bit about us:

Whytecliff is a BC Ministry of Education accredited independent school for grades 8-12. Our Langley campus is small, with a tight-knit team of staff serving up to 54 students. We serve a variety of great kids who arrive with an array of learning needs and personal challenges (such as anxiety & depression), and who present a range of developmental, academic and behavioral capabilities. Whytecliff is unique. It stands apart as being one of the few programs in North America that seamlessly integrates education and youth work (to provide the best in learning AND therapeutic experiences). We use a strengths-based, positive therapeutic community approach that is transformative for many of the youth attending our programs.

At Whytecliff, staff work in concert through embodying a shared vision, collaboratively developed to embrace the heart of what we stand for:

We are a safe, respectful and nurturing community, sensitive to each person and their uniqueness. Within this community, individuals have opportunities to build their resources, develop new skills, and discover their talents. These experiences encourage self-reflective behaviour and a strengthened relationship to family and the wider community. Living these principles inspires hope and leads to promising futures rich with dignity, purpose, and options.
