Marketing Coordinator - Midland Cultural centre
The Midland Cultural Centre is seeking a highly energetic, self-starter eager to succeed in the role of Marketing Coordinator.
With over 300 events presented annually, the MCC is widely regarded as the most active centre in the industry. Multiple genres, many media partners, and industry-leading growth; every event requires an audience, and the challenge of reaching new audiences is an exciting and rewarding one for the ideal candidate.
Working with a marketing budget, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for sourcing and publishing event materials, posters, newspaper ads, radio ads and new and innovative forms of event communication. Social media platforms, web-site management, and new technologies provide effective and inexpensive methods of advertising. The ideal candidate will be equally effective with traditional media methods as well as social media and on-line tools. Different potential audiences will be reached in different ways.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will be an important and highly visible member of a small and very effective team that continues to achieve major successes in the most exciting and progressive arts facility in Ontario. Team work is central to our success – a love for the arts, a drive to succeed, and a willingness to play a major role in presenting world-class shows in the heart of Georgian Bay are pre-requisites for this position.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and industry-standard publishing software would be a considerable asset. Frequently used tools: Facebook, Mail Chimp, Canva, Instagram etc.
