Infection Prevention & Control (IPAC) Resource Nurses - CHATS-Community & Home Assistance To Seniors

We are looking for 2 IPAC Resource Nurses. 

This position is full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract  to start as soon as possible until March 31, 2021

Base office: Aurora

Reporting to the Director of Client Care and Services, you will provide support and resources for infection prevention and control activities at CHATS for clients, caregivers and staff.  IPAC activities include education, training, monitoring and reporting. 

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Identify work practices to minimize or eliminate exposure.

  • Ensure infection control measures are in place including policies and procedures.

  • Identify staff and clients who are at risk.

  • Communicate hazards to staff.

  • In collaboration with the IPAC team, determine training requirements to ensure compliance with legislation, directives and policies and procedures.

  • Develop and implement IPAC related training to all staff.

We’d like you to become part of our team if you are a Registered Nurse (RN or RPN) with current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or a diploma or degree in Health Sciences if you have a certification in Infection Control/IPAC Canada. You have excellent skills in risk, crisis and conflict management. You have demonstrated teaching, mentoring, and coaching skills. You have excellent assessment, communication and problem-solving skills..

A valid Ontario driver's license and a vehicle are required for this position.  Fluency in both official languages (English & French) or other language(s), an asset.
