Graphic Designer ( Volunteer) - Canadian Center for Women's Empowerment (CCFWE)

Canadian Center for Women’s Empowerment (CCFWE) is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to empowering domestic violence survivors through advocacy and mentorship.  We believe that volunteers are a fundamental part of the services offered to domestic violence survivors. Volunteers complement the existing services and enable the program to provide intensive support to women.

This opportunity is ideal for students looking to add to their portfolio and gain more experience or for anyone wanting to participate in social justice matters.

We need you to:

  • Create various designs that are flexible to use in multiple media.

  • Design clear engaging graphic communications for print and web. This will include direct mail pieces, branded promotional items, website and social media graphics, posters, flyers, and other marketing materials as needed.

  • Work closely with a project team and volunteers to translate their messaging concepts into marketing materials.

Qualifications: 

  • Be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Canva & Photoshop and/or other common design and layout applications 

  • Having a computer and access to graphic design and layout software is an asset 

  • Must be extremely organized and detail oriented 

  • Must have excellent time management skills 

  • Must have ability to work independently as well as in partnership with team 

  •  Must be able to define and work to deadlines

  • This position provides valuable experience in the non-profit sector and the opportunity to develop a portfolio related to graphic design and visual arts. 

LEVEL OF COMMITMENT - Very flexible we will work with your schedule. Remote work , home-based  6-8  hours / week  first 2  month then 3-4 hours/ week 

 Minimum 3 months commitment is mandatory
