Female Support Worker/Relief - St. Clare Inn

St. Clare Inn is a transitional residence for up to 5 women who have been homeless and have diagnosed mental health challenges. It provides a stable environment founded on respect, peace, safety, & dignity for each woman while they use community resources to continue their healing journey and rebuild their lives. St. Clare Inn operates on the values of:

We invite women to apply for this position. Must be available for both overnight and day shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • acting as a positive & supportive presence
  • participating in and promoting cooperative living
  • teaching/ modeling life skills
  • assisting with transportation & directions
  • maintaining and completing administrative tasks (i.e. tracking, logging information, bridging, documentation, recording & reporting)
  • participating in ongoing training
  • communicating with and reporting to the Executive Director

Qualifications:

  • University graduate in a related discipline
  • experience or training in community support work
  • good organization skills
  • excellent oral & written communications skills
  • ability to manage a number of tasks simultaneously
  • ability to deal with the unexpected
  • must be reliable and responsible and hold to the values of St. Clare Inn
  • competence in working with Microsoft Word and the Internet
  • ability to work overnight and day shifts

Hourly rate: $16.60/hour
