Executive Director - Ottawa Salus Corporation
Established in 1979 by a dedicated group of concerned parents, social workers, and doctors in the Ottawa area, the Ottawa Salus Corporation (Salus) has since been an unwavering champion in meeting the rehabilitation and supportive housing needs of adults with serious mental illness. In the decades since its humble beginnings, Salus has grown to become a respected and professional organization with over 100 staff providing support services in the areas of: case management, community development, recreation, rehabilitation and occupational therapy along with the delivery of multiple innovative programs. At this important point in time, Salus is continuing to look for ways to expand supportive housing options and mental health services in the Ottawa area and is looking to do so with the leadership of a dedicated and mission-driven new Executive Director to continue their success story, propelling Salus forward for years to come.
The new Executive Director will lead the organization into the future, building visibility and impact, while refining the services it offers to truly benefit the communities it serves. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the new ED will work to create an ambitious strategy that will guide the future of Salus in an evolving demographic and policy environment, while working with funders and community partners to provide sustainable housing and evidence-based treatment in a timely fashion to those in need. He or she will build networks of influence across municipal and provincial funders, as well as local community partners, and build capacity among Salus staff to continue to focus on visibility and long-term sustainability of the organization.
