LetsStopAIDS is Canada's youth-HIV charity that inspires youth leadership for HIV prevention. Founded in 2004, LetsStopAIDS focuses on HIV education and prevention through positive youth engagement and leadership. Whether it is in rural South Africa or urban cities across Canada, LetsStopAIDS is dedicated to creating a global network of youth-HIV peer educators. LetsStopAIDS is a registered Canadian charity, and has signed onto the GIPA principles.  

Our projects have been commended at several events, including Bill Clinton and Bill Gates at the XVI International AIDS Conference and through various national media outlets such as CTV, CBC, Much Music, National Post, Metro and hundreds of local news publications.


About You:

We are looking for an innovative Development Manager to join our team. As the Targeted Development Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key targeted funding sources. Local in Toronto Canada preferred, but not required.

We are looking for someone who is well-organized and competent in fundraising and relationship management. This role will report directly to the VP, Development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage multiple corporate memberships / sponsorships via on-line portals, or direct communication

  • Be familiar with Be responsibly to and capable of following up leads

  • Understand the fundamentals of grant writing and contribute to and adhere to the standardization of grant writing, submission materials in our global efforts

  • Support and coordinate grant writing efforts for our national and international programmes

  • Use technology tools (like Foundation softwares) to keep track of our efforts and our benefactors

  • Manage and coordinate volunteer and junior development members

  • Offer solutions to resolve problems in a timely manner

  • Ensures implementation of policies and practices

  • Other duties as requested

Skills and Requirements:

  • Excellent relationship management skills

  • Be familiar with online membership management and corporate giving campaigns 

  • Portfolio of key clients / relationships (not necessarily transferable) 

  • Proficient in Google Drive -- Docs, Sheets, Slides

  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on LetsStopAIDS’ success

  • Team player, Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

  • Good time-management skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
