Coordinator of Fundraising and Communications - Boys and Girls Clubs of Hamilton

Reporting to the Manager of Finance and Administration, the Coordinator of Fundraising and Communications will be responsible for all elements of our fundraising strategy, including donor and public relations, annual fundraising programs, grant writing, major and planned giving, and special events.  They will also be responsible for promoting the organization through the development, implementation, and measurement of communications and community engagement practices. This position will ensure the coordination of all communications and community engagement aspects of the organization including but not limited to social media, print communications, website management, donor and corporate engagement, and campaign management.

  • Degree or diploma in related field
  • Minimum two years experience in a non-profit fundraising position
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Social Media networks (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
  • Familiarity with online web design tools (Wordpress, Weebly, etc.)
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office and Google Suite
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop would be an asset
  • Understanding of marketing and branding concepts
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Creativity, initiative and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

This is a full-time, one-year contract position and requires successful completion of a police record check.
