Community Partnerships Manager - LetsStopAIDS

LetsStopAIDS is a Canadian youth-HIV charity that focuses on HIV prevention and knowledge exchange by engaging young people and fostering leadership. Since 2004, we have been creating a global network of youth-HIV leaders. 

Manage relationships with community organizations, corporations, key stakeholders to build the brand and organization. Champion and manage new projects to create stronger partnerships. Build the organizational network through targeted outreach and strong project planning.

About You:

  • Knack for collaboration and thrives in a team environment

  • "Out of the box" thinker who strives to implement continuous improvements and takes a strategic approach to the projects

  • Motivated self-starter with strong community development and partnership development skills

  • Understanding of HIV

  • Confident and proficient in dealing with key stakeholders with support from National Manager and National Vice-President. 

  • Strong analytical, communications, and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency with computers and experience with Google Docs and project management software like Jira

Responsibilities & Skills:

  • Support the creation of a strategy to expand collaboration between LetsStopAIDS and business and community organizations Nationally 

  • Create and manage relationships with key stakeholders in Canada, including corporations, community organizations, colleges, universities, healthcare companies, and more

  • Support dedicated collaborations through exploration partnership cycle (e.g. match-making, project-scoping, application process, problem-solving, and promotion)

  • Support collaborative efforts for all National projects

  • Network and manage relationships with senior stakeholders

Dedication: The role will require 8-15 hours per week. The successful candidate may choose to work remotely, however, will be required to attend in person at least 1 day per week at our Downtown Toronto (Adelaide/John) head office. The different tasks involved may sometimes require irregular volunteer hours, particularly in times of need.

Preference will be given to someone with personal experience, relating to HIV.
