Community Giving Coordinator  (Full-time, Permanent) *New Position

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Reports to: Senior Manager, Community Giving & Development Operations

Hiring Range: $50,000 to $52,000 annually, including a benefits plan, pension plan, 15 paid vacation days in your first year, increasing to 20 paid vacation days in your second year of employment and professional development opportunities 

Community Food Centres Canada (CFCC) is a national non-profit organization that builds health, belonging and social justice in low-income communities across Canada through the power of food. We provide ideas, resources and a proven approach to partner organizations so they can establish responsive, financially stable Community Food Centres that support people to grow, cook, share, and advocate for good food for all. CFCC is growing to support its ambition to develop community food centres in 20 communities across Canada, innovate new approaches to addressing food insecurity and advocate for positive change for low-income communities.

CFCC is seeking a Community Giving Coordinator who will be responsible for ensuring a superior donor experience and contributing to team fundraising revenue targets.

Responsibilities

Donor Care (40%)

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound donor inquires for Annual Giving, Monthly Giving, Leadership Giving, The Big Social and Third Party Events, providing superior donor service

  • Coordinate content and execute donor stewardship activities for Annual Giving, Monthly Giving, Leadership Giving, The Big Social and Third Party Events, including personal thank you letters & mailings, emails, social media, phone calls, and automated journeys and touchpoints 

  • Ensure all donors receive charitable tax receipts in accordance with CRA guidelines

Third Party & DIY Events (30%) 

  • Contribute to the achievement of the third party revenue goal

  • Grow the third party event portfolio by stewarding current relationships and proactively seeking new third party fundraising opportunities

  • Coordinate marketing and promotional content to support third party event organizers

  • Create and execute a stewardship journey for third party event organizations to enhance retention

  • Effectively leverage Engaging Networks to enhance the experience for third party fundraisers and increase revenues

Systems, Platforms & Administration (30%)

  • Ensure accuracy of donor data in Salesforce and Engaging Networks, including donor communications preferences

  • Work with Development and Database Coordinator to provide accurate and timely lists for mail and email campaigns

  • Set up and deploy campaigns, journeys and automations in Engaging Networks and reports on results

  • Ensure accurate and timely content updates for fundraising pages on CFCC web properties and third-party fundraising platforms

  • Provide gift administration support and coordinate gift administration for the Big Social and key Third Party initiatives

  • Coordinate Information Management for Box and Gdrive

  • Provide administrative support, including credit card reconciliations and invoice processing

  • Book travel for Development activities and events

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of two years of related work experience  

  • Demonstrated experience in providing superior customer or donor service

  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Engaging Networks and/or similar CRM, including lists, reports and queries

  • Process-oriented and analytical 

  • Good writing and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently, and collaboratively as part of a team

  • Ability to use sound judgement, maintain discretion, and navigate sensitive situations with integrity and flexibility

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of related education and experience; fundraising education preferred

  • Knowledge of the Canadian charitable sector, including fundraising best practices and emerging trends, and a demonstrated commitment to professional growth
