Job purpose

The Campaign Coordinator will support key World Vision Canada campaign volunteers in leading World Vision Canada’s capital campaign, raising resources and awareness and championing World Vision Canada both publicly and within their own networks. Reporting to the Campaign Manager, the Volunteer Coordinator will directly support the day-to-day execution of campaign volunteer leaders’ duties and coordinate the operations and overall experience of the Campaign Steering Committee, Campaign Cabinet, campaign volunteer committees and the POWER of HER and other Impact Councils.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Lead execution of the campaign volunteer experience and journey of campaign volunteer councils.
  • Coordinate and oversee the entire volunteer leadership experience, from orientation and onboarding through to all subsequent activities of the Campaign Cabinet, board, and campaign committees, Power of Her and Church impact councils and National Leadership Council.
  • Manage campaign volunteer leaders’ calendars, schedule meetings, manage invitations, attend meetings, and take and share copies of minutes and action items.
  • Prepare volunteer leaders for meetings with staff, donors, and other key contacts by preparing packages and supporting materials needed.
  • Coordinate development and dissemination of meeting briefs, agendas, prospect profiles, presentations, and pre-reads.
  • Work alongside Events team to plan and execute events for campaign volunteer committees and the Power of Her Impact Council.
  • Work with the Philanthropy Engagement team, Campaign Manager, Philanthropy Writer, Stewardship Coordinator and Philanthropy Enablement team to support campaign volunteers’ efforts to cultivate, solicit, thank, and steward campaign gifts.
  • Act as a key point of contact between campaign volunteer leadership and the Philanthropy Engagement, Philanthropy Enablement and Events teams as well as field staff and other stakeholders in carrying out volunteer leaders’ duties.
  • Work with Philanthropy Enablement team to manage and execute social media, digital marketing channels and website updates.
  • Coordinate sourcing of content, stories, items, and speakers from the field
  • Ensure all relevant activities are captured accurately in CRM.
  • Contribute to capital campaign and Philanthropy team results by performing other tasks as needed.
  • Liaise with other global offices that run volunteer committees for resource sharing, best practices and lessons learned.



  • Passion for being part of World Vision Canada’s mission to transform the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children and create a world where every child will be able to enjoy life in all its fulness.
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience, ideally within a fundraising environment.
  • Strong experience planning, coordinating, and executing events involving executives, major donors and High Net Worth individuals.
  • Project management experience.
  • Outgoing and highly organized individual with exceptional attention to detail, strong customer service and organizational skills, and a demonstrated ability at working across all areas of an organization to achieve results. 
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with senior leaders and people at all levels of the organization.
  • University degree or certificate from a college or accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Strong oral and written and communication skills.
  • Experience in Digital marketing and managing social media channels.
  • A high level of personal integrity who can be trusted with highly confidential information and relied upon to carry out their duties with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and familiarity with database systems such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge.
  • PMP designation or equivalent is highly desired.
