We are currently searching for a candidate for the following position:

Administrative Support for Case Managers

Full Time, 35 Hours Per Week

 

This position requires a highly motivated, self-directed individual who is also able to work within a team environment. The Administrative Support worker will perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks in collaboration with the Program Team Leader and Case Managers to support the administrative functions of the team.

The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable and interested in working with seniors who present with complex cognitive and physical challenges.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform initial consultations with newly referred clients
  • Manage the intake process and wait list
  • Prepare communications such as memos, emails, invoices, documents and other correspondence
  • Complete forms and applications, obtain signatures, and personally deliver documentation as needed to the clients’ homes or to other professional agencies/services
  • Work in collaboration with case managers to provide support with day-to-day tasks such as accompanying clients to medical appointments, medication pick-up and food delivery
  • Make referrals to community agencies as needed
  • Update and maintain documentation in the database
  • Input statistical data and other administrative tasks as required

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 – 2 years of experience in administrative support, preferably in a similar industry (e.g., social work, medical, or mental health)
  • Post-secondary education
  • Knowledge of community resources for older persons
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Must have own transportation
  • Ability to work flexible hours, evening and weekend work is required
  • Proficiency in French language an asset
