GGC is actively searching for an outstanding Administrative Assistant, People & Culture.

The Administrative Assistant, People & Culture will act as the primary administrative support to the Director, P&C and support additional administrative tasks related to the portfolio of other members of the People &Culture team. This would include but is not limited to monitoring and maintaining physical and electronic personnel records, drafting correspondence and documents, scheduling meetings, maintaining records through an HRMS, assisting in responding to and resolving employee inquiries while adhering to established policies and guidelines, assisting in the full cycle recruitment, hiring and onboarding process, and participating in projects as required.  

 

The model candidate will have educational experience (2-3 year diploma at minimum) and proven experience providing administrative support preferably to a Human Resources department (at least 2 years) which includes respect for confidentiality and the ability to exercise sound judgement, superior communication and customer service skills, effective inter-personal relation skills and problem solving skills, full-cycle recruitment, proficiency with HRMS and MS Office (Office 365), ability to apply relevant policies, guidelines and legislation with knowledge of employment related legislation (e.g., ESA, Human Rights, AODA, OHSA), a high level of personal integrity, the commitment to continual improvement of self and processes, and the desire to contribute effectively to a growing team as well as work successfully independently. Basic knowledge of payroll practices is an asset.

 

A CHRP designation is not required for this role, however GGC will support a candidate who wishes to actively pursue their designation.
