The BSIP Program has hundreds of roles that are segmented into six streams. We’re hiring for all six steams in several geographic locations across Canada and the US.  Review all six streams and choose how you will grow by applying online.

Qualifications

What you will do

Financial modeling  is the task of building an abstract representation (a model) of a real world financial situation. This is a mathematical model designed to represent (a simplified version of) the performance of a financial asset or portfolio of a business, project, or any other investment.

A Financial Modeling Analyst job duties can include:

  • Building financial models using historical data and providing forecasts based on various industry-related operating metrics. 
  • Conducting Scenario Analysis based on macro and micro factors that will help in assessing risk.
  • Ensuring accurate modeling of allocated portfolios and developing new transaction models and enhancing the existing models.
  • Recommending and Implementing process for improvements to budget and prepare forecast for company.
  • Identifying the key financial and non-financial risks, recommending actions for mitigation of those risks.
  • Applying appropriate sensitivity and scenario analysis to support investment actions.
  • Updating financial models during earnings seasons and following corporate actions.
  • Analyzing and identifying data requirements, related derivation rules and model tracking.
  • Financial modelling roles are located in several business groups including:  Technology, Finance, Anti Money Laundering, Risk, etc.

What you have

  • Excellent Excel Skills: (Formulas, charts, macros, Pivots, VBAs, etc.)
  • Knowledge about Accounting, Finance & Valuation
  • Problem solving ability
  • Time Management
  • Decision making ability based on your financial models 
  • Hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
  • Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis

If you are selected for an interview you will be contacted by a Campus Recruiter between November 27, 2017 and March 16, 2018 to discuss your qualifications and potential fit for the internship program. 

If you are successful, a second round interview with the hiring manager will follow. The hiring manager will discuss the specifics of the role and provide a more detailed job description.
