Position: Writer/Producer

Location: CTV Edmonton

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Hours of Work: Part-time – 32 hours a week, including weekends, evenings and overtime as required.

 

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Creative Services Manager, this multi-skilled and motivated individual will be team player, with the core competencies, skills and potential to positively impact our promotional and commercial content, all while contributing with a positive attitude and an emphasis on customer service. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Writing & producing television commercials
  • Work closely with Sales and clients to assist in developing advertising campaigns
  • Deliver first-rate customer service and trustworthy client management
  • Exhibit exceptional editorial decision making and communication skills
  • Conceptualize, develop, write & produce other promotional announcements as required
  • Other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:        

  • Post-secondary Education in Broadcast Production, Marketing, or Promotions
  • 3-5 years of commercial advertising and promotional writing/producing experience
  • Acquiring that in a broadcasting environment would be a definite asset
  • Thorough knowledge of current production and post-production processes and equipment
  • Computer literate in all office applications. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Must have a proven track record of being able to work under pressure and demonstrate ability to react quickly and productively in a changing environment requiring immediate decision-making
  • Must have ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment with emphasis on internal assistance and upholding professional standards. Big picture thinking

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
