Responsibilities:

  • Field reporting, video journalism, editing
  • Reporting on local news
  • Generate original, picture-driven story ideas.
  • Research, book, and conduct interviews.
  • Maintain digital presence
  • Participate in station and community events.
  • Daytime and overnight travel may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a broadcast journalism-specific University or College program or 1-3 years of related work experience.
  • Must have strong writing, speaking, and on-camera presentation skills.
  • Must have strong technical, editing skills
  • Ambitious, enthusiastic, hard working and presentable.
  • Team player and capable of producing quality work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to generate creative story ideas.
  • Video Journalism proficiency and experience with associated audio and lighting systems will also be considered an asset.
  • Must have a valid Ontario driver’s license.

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
