Swing Announcer, Bell Media Radio (The Bear 100.3)

100.3 The Bear in Edmonton is looking for a weekend and fill-in host!!  We want someone who cannot only relate to the rock n roll lifestyle – but lives it!  Along with killer on-air skills, personality, and strong work ethics, you need to ‘rock it’ Social Media wise.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and host a highly topical, fun, and engaging weekend radio shows. Fill in and host where required on other dayparts.
  • Preparing, producing, planning and executing a market leading show across all platforms.
  • Deliver amazing customer service both internally with staff and externally with clients and listeners.
  • Attend public appearances, remotes, charitable and community events.  Be everywhere!
  • Represent the station and the brand with integrity.
  • Voice track when required.
  • Independently anticipate the needs of Management and the programming team.
  • Music scheduling assistance and other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of on-air experience preferably in a ROCK format
  • Degree or Diploma from a recognized Broadcast Program or equivalent experience
  • Must be a team player with a sickening positive attitude and a killer sense of humor
  • Knowledge of cultural and current events
  • You totally get all Social Media platforms and understand how important this stuff is to connect to your audience
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • CREATIVE and INNOVATIVE!!!!
  • Self-motivated and able to take the appropriate direction
  • Passionate Music Junkie
  • Strong communication, writing, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team and see the big picture.
