The Wireless Network Orchestration & Smart Analytics team mission is simple: to build the best 5G autonomous network providing industry leading customer experience while enabling innovation & growth in 5G & IoT services for Canadians.

What's the role?

The 5G Slicing & Services Orchestration team is looking for a Senior Software Developer to support our 5G Slicing Management & Orchestration development program.  As a senior DevOps developer, you will work within our highly diverse and collaborative team to lead the design, development and daily operations of scalable and resilient software environments with a strategic emphasis on E2E observability.  You will lead the evolution of our CI/CD infrastructure & process while ensuring daily orchestration services high availability and E2E lifecycle automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for DevOps practice and application - CI/CD, microservices & containers
  • Contribute toward opensource software development & community - LF
  • Support 5G Network Orchestration SDLC - 5G NFV/SDN, CNF
  • Support 5G New Services introduction and operationalization - E2E Slicing & Services Orchestration
  • Engage in mentoring and coaching - Junior development team members.

Key knowledge and experience:

  • Computer Science, Software Engineering, or IT/Telecommunications Engineering degree.
  • Delivering and operating large, distributed, and resilient software systems in cloud/virtual environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Consul, Helm)
  • Hands-on DevOps practice & technologies (Git, Jenkins, GoCD, Ansible, Sonar, Consul)
  • Hands-on Linux administration (RHEL)
  • Highly agile with ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and change
  • Passionate for intelligent process automation and network programmability
  • Skilled software developer with aptitude for clean architecture and innovation, a creative design thinking
  • Team player that is highly collaborative and performance driven
  • Strategic thinker able to ideate, frame, and communicate a vision
  • Strong communicator with professional technical writing skills


  • Hands-on experience with open networking software, protocols and models (e.g. ONAP, Opendaylight, Openstack, YANG, TOSCA, HEAT, Netconf/RESTconf, SNMP, CLI, BGP, IPv6, VPP)
  • You have experience with technologies core to ONAP (e.g. Camunda BPM, ELK, Drools, Hadoop, Kafka, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, HBase, Cassandra, Cask)




Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
